Indian kites or Patang or guddi as they are known are made by the community of Muslims and made of very thin paper and bamboo each with unique color, design and size. Most of the Indian kites are generally diamond shaped and have specific parts including sail and frame. The International Kite Festival K/F of India started in 1989 in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India and since hosted the festival each year.
