The article reports that the Southeast Recycling Development Council (SERDC) is focusing on Tennessee for its most recent economic impact exercise. A new data rich representations of Tennessee's recycling economy has been developed that could result from increased recovery of recyclables. The state's disposal and recycling data along with waste composition data from across the country were used to develop a data set on a county basis for Tennessee.
