Abstract: This section offers news briefs about sports in India. Hockey India, which is the ruling body of hockey in the country, has launched the Hockey India League (HIL) on January 14, 2013. Both local and international players are allowed to play at HIL. Badminton player Saina Nehwal ranked second in the Badminton World Federation's world ranking. In the men's division, Parupalli Kashyap ranked 10th.
