Starving for Perfection.

An essay is presented on the author's experience of being an anorexic and starving herself to attain a body of perfection. She states that she hated a classmate who posed questions regarding the mental state of girls who see themselves fat in front of the mirror. She relates her experience of controlling herself from eating healthy foods which she and her friend, Ana, considered as forbidden food until she her hipbones. She discusses how she recovered from anorexia nervosa.
