Abstract

A triode type multiple frequencies magnetically tunable magnetron injection gun (MT-MIG), which is suitable for Ka-, Q- and U-band gyro-devices, is presented in this paper. A myriad of simulations with good performances by EGUN have been demonstrated. The simulated results indicated that the MT-MIG can successfully achieve the velocity ratio of 1.23, 1.40, 1.30 and maximum velocity spread < 3% in the case of acceleration voltage 70kV, modulating anode voltage of 41 kV, 41 kV, 23 kV and beam current 10A for Ka-, Q- and U-band gyro-devices respectively.
