Abstract

The author's memoirs detailing his experiences in a British diplomatic mission to Moscow in the Soviet Union in the post-Revolutionary period to establish a trade agreement is presented. Topics considered include the Anglo-Soviet Trade Agreement of March 16, 1921, World War I, the Russian Revolution's impact on previous treaties and international relations, and the Soviet Union's economic policy in the 1920s.
