Abstract
- The article focuses on animal welfare standards related to livestock regulations in Australia. It informs that Australian Meat and Livestock Industry Act and the Export Control Act were enacted to prohibit the export of livestock for slaughter. It reveals destructive impact on livestock farmers after introducing Australian government's decision to restrict the exports of cattle to Indonesia. It addresses that Australian farmer will have to develop new markets and industries.
