Abstract

The article shares tips on how to prevent plant poisoning in horses. All extremely toxic plants, such as yew, water hemlock and oleander, should be removed from the horse's environment. Healthy pastures should be maintained by limiting overgrazing, mowing the fields to control weeds and extensive reseeding. Horses that are well fed are less likely to eat strange plants.
