The European Union: Foreign and Security Policy.

The article presents a paper on foreign and security policy of the European Union (EU) prepared by the U.S. Congressional Research Service. It offers an understanding of the complexities of EU policy making, assesses the compatibility and effectiveness of U.S. and EU policy approaches, and explores the long-term implications of changing transatlantic dynamics. The article also elaborates on the institutions and actors as well as instruments of the Common Security and Defense Policy (CDSP).
