Abstract
- The article discusses a study on the behavior of an adsorbed dipalmitoyl-phosphatidylcholine (DPPC) monolayer when subjected to prolonged periodical perturbations of low amplitude. The study observed strongly accelerated DPPC adsorption at the interface. It was found that four phenomena occur upon a phospholipid bubble's exposure to prolonged controlled sinusoidal oscillations. The relevance of these findings on research on the properties of films of insoluble phospholipids is mentioned.
