U.S. Policy Approaches and Additional Options.

The article discusses the U.S. policy options toward Iran. Some U.S. concerns about Iran include the latter's nuclear program. A background on the U.S.-Iran relations since November 4, 1979 when radical students seized the U.S. embassy in Tehran and hostage some diplomats is provided. The support provided by the U.S. to Iraq in the 1980-1988 Iran-Iraq War are discussed. The diplomatic policy toward Iran of the administration of U.S. President Barack Obama is also discussed.
