Abstract
- The article presents a labor market risk analysis for Singapore for 2013. Labor unions in Singapore are said to have little power as the government subsumed them in a tripartite framework. Unemployment rate in the country is expected to increase political pressure and could possibly lead to reducing the number of foreign workers. Scenarios which are expected to influence the labor market in Singapore are discussed, including the demand for improved pay of lower-skilled foreign workers.
