Assessing Use of Gold Nanoparticles.

This article focuses on a study from Stony Brook University which revealed that size, concentration and duration of application of gold nanoparticles in cosmetic manufacturing plays an important part in the toxicity of the material. The researchers also found that gold nanoparticles inhibited the ability of pre-adipocytes to differentiate into mature adipocytes. The effects of the nanoparticles on cell movement, cell replication and collage contraction are also noted.
