Abstract

The article presents a qualitative study which examines experiences of patients of standard care measures or cardiac rehabilitation for transient ischaemic attack or post minor stroke. It states that the participants underwent interviews and were subject to a randomized controlled trial. Results reveal four themes dominant with the patients such as information delivery, comparing oneself, and attitudes, showing the positive effects of cardiac rehabilitation on one's motivation to exercise.
