According to ABPI, Great Britain's pharmaceutical industry generates one of the highest value contributions, in terms of gross value added (GVA), for the British economy. He discusses Great Britain's reliance on the service and finance sectors and the challenges facing the pharmaceutical industry, such as poor research and development (R&D) performance.
