Abstract: A letter to the editor is presented regarding the molecular synergy between somatic mutations in acute myeloid leukemia (AML), such as internal tandem duplications of FLT3 (FLT3-ITD) and Nucleophosmin (NPM1) exon 12 mutations (NPM1c), which induce AML in mice.
