Abstract
- The article reports on the inclusion of startup companies among the four teams which were awarded contracts for the U.S. Army's Joint Multi-Role technology demonstration (JMR TD). It states that aside from Bell Helicopter and a Sikorsky/Boeing team, AVX Aircraft and Karem Aircraft were also awarded contracts. It cites that Karem Aircraft founder Abe Karem says little about the design, except that it will have two 36-foot-diameter variable speed rotors.
