Abstract

The article presents a speech by historian Albert M. Camarillo, delivered at the annual meeting of the Organization of American Historians held in San Francisco, California on April 13, 2013, in which he discussed the twentieth-century history of how minorities such as African Americans, Mexican Americans, and Asian Americans dealt with residential segregation in urban areas of the Southwest.
