Abstract

The article looks at the competition between U.S. paper product manufacturers Kimberly-Clark (K-C) and Scott Paper as of September 1969. Presented are figures illustrating the financial performance of K-C in 1969, with particular attention given to the impact of the introduction of new brands of tampons, bathroom tissues, and paper towels. Cited are comments by K-C president Guy M. Minard regarding the development of the market for paper products.
