Abstract

The article presents information on a study which analyzes the effects of the Nordic hamstring strengthening exercise on the biceps femoris long head (BFIh), biceps femoris short head (BFsh), semitendinosus (SMT), and semi- membranosus (SMM) muscles. The study used magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to analyze the site-specific activation of this exercise on different muscles of the thigh and muscle damage. The methods and results of the study are also discussed.
