Abstract

The article focuses on the history of the Marine Corps' initiative to establish the Marine Corps Training Center at its base in San Diego, California during the World War II. It notes the importance of the training center since it helped the Marine increase its fresh troops for the Fleet Marine Force and expand its defense during the war. It also provides a brief overview of the activities and experiences at the boot camp.
