Abstract

The article features George Sánchez, a professor of American studies and ethnicity and history, and vice dean for diversity and strategic initiatives of the University of Southern California (USC). Sánchez is cited as one of the pre-eminent scholars in Hispanic history and diversity-related research in the U.S. He is the recipient of the Outstanding Latino Faculty in Higher Education Award from the American Association of Hispanics in Higher Education in 2010.
