Abstract
- The author reflects on six decades of research and education of Ayurveda medicine in India as of 2013. The author discusses topics on the establishment of an exclusive research center and the first research center in Ayurveda in the country in 1953, research on Ayurvedic hematinic formulations, and other notable achievements in the field from 1953-2013. Also mentioned is the struggle of research in Ayurveda to produce scientific validation with evidence based documentation.
