Abstract

The article focuses on the shoes company Nike Inc.'s expansion into Mexico. Nike had to shorten its motto a little to do business in Mexico. Instead of "Just Do It," in Spanish, it is just "Do It." The translation just sounds better, making it one of the many changes Nike has made in the way it does business in Mexico, according to Kevin R. Brown, who heads the Beaverton, Oregon, shoemaker's Mexican subsidiary. Nike is scrambling to meet growing demand for foreign shoes and clothing following the North American Free Trade Agreement.
