Abstract
- The article discusses the 1913 paper "Sur les fonctionnelles continues et les fonctionnelles analytiques," by René Gâteaux. Focus is given on the modern concept of functional analysis based from the ideas of Gâteaux in the paper. Also provided is information on Gâteaux derivative and influence function in estimation theory.
