- The article discusses the plans of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) for putting restrictions on application providers of instant messaging like Whatsapp and Viber due to loss of business revenue of telecom operators of India. It mentions that the telecom operators like Bharti Airtel, Vodafone India and Idea Cellular wants to take the connectivity charge from these application providers. Also mentions that instant messaging service affect the revenue of telecom operators.
