Israel: Background and Relations with the United States.

A report on Israel's foreign relations with the U.S. as of April 2007 is presented. A historical overview, politics and government, and economic condition of the country is explored. Some issues related to the relations of these countries, which include the Arab-Israeli peace process, the free trade agreement (FTA), and security cooperation, are examined. The country's foreign policy in the Middle East and the European Union is also discussed.
