Abstract
- The article reports on major China-U.S. issues as of March 1, 2008, which strained their economic relations. Among the issues are the growing U.S. trade deficits with China, the failure of China to fully implement its World Trade Organization (WTO) commitments, and refusal to adopt a floating currency system. The administration of the U.S. President George W. Bush is being pressured by the U.S. Congress to take more aggressive stance against various economic and trade practices of China.
