Abstract

Engine test-bed experiment system is an essential approach to measure dynamic property, economic performance and reliability of the engine, and the automaticity and accuracy directly influences the exactitude of acquired and analyzed data. In this paper, engine test-bed experiment data acquisition system is designed based on virtual instrument LabVIEW. Hardware of this system consists of sensors which is used to obtain engine information of rotation, temperature and vibration, as well as of the signal conditioning module and data acquisition card which match the sensors properly. Data processing and interface displaying software are programmed based on LabVIEW. Debugging results confirm that the engine test-bed experiment data acquisition system can accurately acquire the information of engine rotation characteristic, load characteristic and vibration, as well as intuitively display the obtained information, therefore, the system satisfies the accuracy acquisition of operation parameters during testing engine operating functions.
