Abstract: The article discusses a meeting of the organization the Joint Mathematical Council of the UK (JMC) on November 5, 2013. According to the article, the meeting marked the 50th anniversary of the organization. The article states that the meeting was chaired by scholar Sir Peter Williams and that several presentations were made by scholars including professor Sir Bryan Thwaites, JMC Executive Sally Barton, and professor Margaret Brown.
