BMI Research: Emerging Europe Monitor: South East Europe Monitor.

The article presents regional report on political risk and macroeconomic prospects in South East Europe for 2014. It notes the factors that triggered the growth and profitability of the banking sector of Turkey which include slowing real gross domestic product (GDP) growth, higher funding costs and lira depreciation. It cites the sustainable fiscal policy in Bulgaria and the delay of the parliamentary election in Slovenia. The search for closer ties of Romania with the West is also tackled.
