Presents information on constitutional rights in the U.S. Collision of constitutional rights in a publicized case that relates to mass murder committed in mid-October in Sutherland, Nebraska in 1975; Conflict related to the issue whether newspapers should print confessions or otherwise inflame potential jurors; Discussion of the guidelines announced by the a committee of lawyers and media representatives; Information on a ban on the reporting of the exact nature of the limitations of publicity; Description of a case related to the constitutional rights; Reference to the article "Blackmun Backs a Curb on Press in Nebraska Case" that was published in a previous issue of the periodical "The New York Times"; Decision that the only parties over whom the district court had jurisdiction were the newspapers and media representatives who voluntarily intervened in the criminal case.
