ASPECTS OF "BALKANISM" REFLECTED IN THE USE OF ANTHROPONYMS IN CONTEMPORARY ROMANIAN PUBLIC SPACE.

This article discusses a study which examined the features of the concept of Balkanism, which are illustrated in the use of anthroponyms in contemporary Romanian public space. Topics discussed include the geographical areas of Transylvania and Balkania, the characteristics of the so-called meridional discourse, and the use of anthroponyms in contemporary Romanian public space. The two different facets of Romania are explored.
