Abstract

The paper presents results of a research investigation obtained under the support to the IGA LDF MENDELU p roject, NIS M PO Č R p roject, and OPVK project. It gives an account of theoretical and methodological starting points, presenting the project's research aims. Its chief objective is to introduce professionals to the existing results of the completed research investigation focusing on the determination of dimensional requirements for furniture intended for children with disabilities. The questions raised belong to a broader context of the issue at hand, related to the project of setting up protection and safety standards in relation to the health condition of children and youth, in the context of the "Long-term programme to improve the health status of the population of the Czech Republic - Health for everybody in the 21st century" paper, namely objective 4: [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
