Abstract
- The article focuses on a report of the newspaper "Folha de S.Paulo" on a decision of the telecommunication firm Telefónica to sell its stake in Telecom Italia SpA as of July 2014. Telefónica is focusing on the sale of its stake in order to release itself from regulatory pressure that resulted from Brazil's Council for Economic Defence (Cade) following its investment in Telecom Italia's shareholder Telco in 2013. It also reports on 22.4 percent share of Telecom Italia owned by Telco.
