Abstract

this article focuses on the box office performance of various motion pictures as of April 2003. 'Anger Management,' from Sony Corp. had the right prescription for the boxoffice this past weekend as the Adam Sandier-Jack Nicholson starrer collected $42.2 million from 3,551 theaters on its opening salvo in North America. The Peter Segal-helmed comedy from Revolution Studios proved to be the biggest opening ever in April, as well as personal bests for stars Sandier and Nicholson. The Peter Segal-helmed comedy from Revolution Studios proved to be the biggest opening ever in April, as well as personal bests for stars Sandier and Nicholson. The entry of 'Anger Management,' into the boxoffice fray took some momentum away from other films in the marketplace. Of the weekend's top 12 films, only one dropped by less than 45 0.000000rom a week ago. But those big drops could also be attributed to the weak product in the marketplace. It's more likely a combination of both of those factors.
