Abstract
- Amine-functionalization of TiO<subscript>2</subscript> nanoparticles, through a solvothermal approach, substantially increases the affinity of CO<subscript>2</subscript> on TiO<subscript>2</subscript> surfaces through chemisorption. This chemisorption allows for more effective activation of CO<subscript>2</subscript> and charge transfer from excited TiO<subscript>2</subscript>, and significantly enhances the photocatalytic rate of CO<subscript>2</subscript> reduction into methane and CO.
