Abstract

Band structure and electromagnetic properties of bands of <superscript>160,162,164</superscript>Gd are studied theoretically upto high spin values using self-consisstent mean field theory. Predictions for the band structures are made. A K = 6<superscript>--</superscript> isomer at fairly low energy is predicted. Four quasi-particle bands involving i<subscript>3/2</subscript> neutron and h<subscript>11/2</subscript> protons are also studied. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
