Abstract
- The article discusses sculptor Malvina Hoffman's work on the exhibit "Races of Mankind," which opened at the Chicago Field Museum of Natural History in Illinois in 1933. Particular focus is given to the relationship between science and art in the exhibit and to Hoffman's identity as a woman sculptor and traveler. Details on Hoffman's travels while working on the exhibit and on her book "Heads and Tales" are presented.
