Abstract

Since 2005, the nationwide universities have raised a high tide of experimental teaching demonstration center construction. After eight years of construction, the overall appearance of university laboratories have taken place remarkable changes. However, from the aspect of meeting the social demands and improving the students' learning, practical and innovation ability, there are still lots problems in constructing the coordination mechanism of theoretical teaching and practical teaching system, deepening the connotation construction of experimental teaching demonstration center. These problems are worthy of long-term exploration and practice. This paper takes Guangxi University as a case, from the school level, to introduce how to regard intensification, construct platform and reform course system. From the college level, we should encourage experiment center bringing forth more top-notch and creating features according to its own advantages, boosting the connotation construction and development of demonstration center. Construction of exquisite-characteristics projects can enhance the demonstration center's function at cultivating students' learning, practical and innovative ability, also at deepening the connotation construction of experimental teaching demonstration center.
