Topics discussed include the certificate issued by DigiNotar used to conduct a man-in-the-middle attack against multiple users in Iran, other cases when the CA had been compromised, the constraints in devising a secure system for Google Chrome, the reasons for the failure of pinning, notaries, domain name system security extensions (DNSSEC), and Bitcoin, and the concept of certificate transparency.
