Abstract
- The article offers information on Turpinia arguta Seem., which belongs to the family Staphyleaceae, and abundantly found in southern area of China. It is stated that leaves of Turpinia arguta are used in traditional Chinese medicine for the treatment of pharyngitis, amygdalitis and tonsillar abscess and pharmacological studies suggest that extracts of plant possess potent anti-inflammatory effects.
