Abstract
- The article discusses a study conducted by the scientists from the University of Western Australia, which examines the function of cluster roots of Australian and Chilean protea . The researchers investigated the cause of the sensitivity of some Proteaceae to phosphorus and the diverse traits adopted by Proteaceae from Australia. The study found that extreme sensitivity is caused by the low capacity of Proteaceae to reduce their phosphorus-uptake systems in case of elevated phosphorus levels.
