Abstract
- The London Underground railway played an integral role in delivering the successful London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The games - the first ever public transport games - demonstrated the vital role of the railway in London. This paper explores the legacy of London Underground's investment programme delivered prior to the games, and some of the key transport benefits that will continue to be experienced on the 'Tube' long after the games. It also highlights the progress made in embedding the legacy arising as a direct or indirect result of inspiration from London 2012. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
