Abstract: The article discusses the need for controlling access to personal medical information related to medicine due to the potential of other individuals and organizations to abuse the information disclosed. Topics discussed includes the protection of private health data on the Web, the case law interpreting the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights, and the supreme court case Boyd v. United States related to the same.
