Abstract
- The article presents a case study of creative writing pedagogy in West Australian correspondence education during the 1930s. Particular focus is given to newspaper accounts of the poetry anthology "Brave Young Singers," which collected verses written by young students in correspondence classes. Details on English curricula in Australia during this period are presented. Other topics include educator Frank Tate, individual guidance of students by teachers, and results-based educational research.
