Abstract: This article discusses the history and development of telegraph systems throughout Argentina in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The author comments on the efforts of the government to unite the country utilizing these technologies and describes the importance of the telegraph to coordinate time throughout Argentina. He also analyzes the historical journal "Revista Telegráfica," which presents documentation regarding the development of the telegraph system. The laws and legislation enacted as a result of this system are also examined.
