Abstract: The article offers the author's perspective on the state of Israel's politics and government as of November 2013. The author cites Martin Sherman's article in the October 10, 213 issue of "The Jerusalem Post," which discusses President Shimon Peres' replacement by Finance Minister Yair Lapid. He says that the public's lack of basic political intelligence threatens to undo all the country's economic, military and scientific achievements.
