Abstract: The article discusses research which investigated the subsea connection automation for clusters of wave energy converters (WEC) to reduce costs and working hazards when performing underwater electrical connections. Topics discussed include the use of remotely operated vehicles (ROV) for offshore operation and types of connectors for underwater physical connections.
