Numerical Approach for the Derivation of Interaction Diagrams for Piles under Cyclic Axial Loading.

The article discusses research which explored the derivation of interaction diagrams for piles used as foundation elements for support structures of offshore wind energy converters (OWEC) under cyclic axial loading by numerical method. Topics discussed include an overview of previous studies of the behavior of piles under axial cyclic loading and use of a finite element program to examine the behavior of a pile of sandy soil.
